Art Therapy uses creativity as a means of self-expression and healing.
Art Therapy as opposed to a regular art class requires no artistic skill as the focus is on the creative process.

Shoshi Jacobs
My name is Shoshi Jacobs and in 2009 after completing my Bachelor of Visual Arts at Monash University and Diploma of Art Therapy at The Phoenix Institute in Melbourne Australia, I recognised that there was a need to develop a practice to ensure that children are able to express themselves creatively and in doing so they have a voice and they are valued. I offer space for my clients to feel free in being themselves. My role is to inspire deep authentic self expression, breaking down any barriers that get in the way of true self acceptance. For some, it is simply about creating and making the art - and for others, it’s about delving into what lies beneath. Which ever way the session takes us, each child is given the opportunity to experience and explore new ways of understanding their inner world.
Why Art Therapy?
Art Therapy uses a gentle approach in helping clients understand their feelings, behaviours and patterns.
It helps transform limiting beliefs into new found confidence.
It allows for expansion - moving through restriction towards self expression.
Perceived challenges can be turned into gifts and newfound strengths.
Fears are able to be acknowledged, allowing for trust and faith to be restored.
